Lely Discovery Scraper

BESCHREIBUNG

The Discovery Scraper is Lely's original manure robot, developed more than twenty years ago and refined ever since. It scrapes barn floors clean on a schedule the farmer sets, removing a daily chore that otherwise has to be done by hand or tractor. It uses sensors to follow pre-programmed routes autonomously, and its compact size lets it pass below sorting gates, between cows and from one alley to the next, reaching corners a larger machine would miss. It works day and night without disturbing the herd. A version with a water sprinkler is available, which wets caked manure before scraping and improves the result on drier floors. Keeping floors clean is not housekeeping for its own sake: it helps prevent hoof problems, keeps tails and udders clean and lets cows behave more naturally.
