X Square Robot
X Square Robot (自变量机器人科技有限公司) is a Shenzhen embodied-AI company founded in December 2023, and one of the first in China to pursue a fully end-to-end route to a general embodied-intelligence foundation model. It trains on real-world data gathered at scale, having built what it describes as China's first large-scale data-collection factory. Its Great Wall model series runs from WALL-A, the operation model behind its robots, through WALL-OSS, open-sourced in September 2025 along with training code, to WALL-B, which the company presents as the first world unified model. Unusually for a model-first company, it also designs and builds the hardware: the Quanta series of wheeled robots, a 20-degree-of-freedom five-finger dexterous hand, and its own data-collection equipment, with the whole stack developed in-house so the bodies are natively matched to the models controlling them. Quanta 1 arrived in April 2025 and completed long-horizon tasks in real open environments; Quanta 2 and the dexterous hand followed in August 2025. The company has raised a series of rounds culminating in an A+ approaching one billion yuan.

Yarbo
Yarbo builds a modular yard robot: one tracked, self-driving base - the Yarbo Core - onto which task modules quick-swap, so a single machine mows in summer, clears snow in winter, blows leaves in autumn and trims edges. That modularity is the company's whole proposition, and it is why the range is sold as configurations rather than separate machines: the Core on its own, or the Core paired with a Lawn Mower Pro, Snow Blower or Blower module, with multi-module bundles for owners who want more than one season covered. The Core navigates by GPS with AI-driven path planning, is controlled from an iOS or Android app, tows up to 500 lb, and is rated for all-weather operation from -13 to 113 degrees Fahrenheit.

Yue Quan Bionics
Yue Quan Bionics was co-founded by Academician Luquan Ren of the Chinese Academy of Sciences — a professor at Jilin University and Honorary President of the International Society of Bionic Engineering — with Professor Lei Ren, a tenured professor at the University of Manchester. That academic origin is the whole company: its robots are built on Professor Ren's Bionic Layagrity Robotics Theory, which sets out to copy how a body actually works rather than to approximate its shape. Three departures from conventional practice follow from it. Rigid hinge joints are replaced with biomimetic three-dimensional 6-DoF joints for flexibility and compliance; magnet-integrated soft-actuator artificial muscles reproduce musculoskeletal biomechanics, combining actuation, transmission and speed modulation in one unit at a high power-to-weight ratio; and a multi-layer rigid-flex coupling architecture handles power transmission and energy management at system level. The company states its goals as low energy consumption, strong arm manipulation and safety in physical human-robot interaction. Its range covers the X-Bot and W-Bot humanoids, the X-Hand and Y-Hand dexterous hands, and the YQ coreless motor series. It is based at Future Science City in Changping District, Beijing.

Zerith
Zerith (零次方) sets out to bring embodied intelligence into tens of millions of households, and its founding team comes out of Tsinghua University with decades of accumulated work in robot motion control and practical engineering. The company builds end to end rather than assembling: motion control, embodied manipulation, humanoid and wheeled-arm platforms, and its own toolchain covering data acquisition, training and inference. Its stack splits into a cerebellum handling reinforcement-learning gait, whole-body anthropomorphic control and dynamic balance, and a brain built on a domestic-scenario foundation model with memory-enhanced learning that blends simulated and real data. Underneath sit an EtherCAT real-time bus for millisecond response, a high-rigidity parallel mechanical design and multimodal tactile, visual and radar sensing. Zerith claims to be among the few Chinese robotics companies to have closed a commercial loop, and is first in China to run continuous long-sequence tasks in specific scenarios. Its data operation is central to the strategy: the Zerith-Home-Dataset and a one-stop data management platform gather real operating data to drive iteration. R&D and operations run from Hefei, Shenzhen and Tokyo, with deployments in more than twenty landmark locations across Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
