Historic first as Chinese robot beats Usain Bolt's 100m world record at Beijing games | BBC News

BBC News reports from the second World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, where real Chinese humanoid sprinters ran the 100 metres faster than Usain Bolt’s 9.58s human record. Honor’s Lightning (also reported as Flash) finished in 9.47 seconds after a 9.32-second trial, while Tiangong Ultra won the heat in 9.39 seconds. The report shows the actual race, the robots’ difficulty braking after the finish, and how China is using the games to showcase humanoid hardware beyond the track.
