Varaha SC-H is a hydraulically operated, submersible remotely operated vehicle for cleaning sludge from industrial tanks. It works in corrosive, hydrocarbon and underwater environments, and JanyuTech describes it as suitable for ATEX Zone 0 areas. A high-power sludge-cutting roller on a flipper arm breaks up the sludge and helps it climb obstacles, while a suction hood extracts the material. A robotic arm carries a camera and a mount for a water jet nozzle, and submersible cameras with flash lights give the view inside. It fits through a man entry hole from 450 mm, and the operator controls it from about 50 m away from the tank.
