The Shmel ('Bumblebee') is CableWalker's compact serial-production quadcopter for video monitoring of terrain with thermal imaging; its small size lets it move quickly and enter enclosed facilities. It weighs 2.2 kg without batteries and 4 kg ready to fly (maximum take-off mass 5 kg), flies for up to 41 minutes (21 minutes with a load) at up to 22 m/s and up to 600 m altitude, and has a control link of up to 20 km. Its three-axis gimbal carries a 4K camera with 6x digital zoom and a 640 x 512 thermal camera. It takes off from a 1.5 x 1.5 m pad, operates from -20 to +40 C in winds up to 10 m/s and measures 897 x 910 x 450 mm with propellers.
