Carter Pro is Robust.AI's collaborative mobile robot for warehouse picking and material movement: an autonomous shelved cart that drives itself through dynamic warehouses, yet can be grabbed and pushed by hand like an ordinary cart. Whole-robot active and passive force sensing and a force-sensitive handlebar let a worker steer it one-handed; a patented holonomic drive moves it in any direction; and a 360-degree AI vision system with camera-based vSLAM handles mapping, localisation and safety without lidar or facility infrastructure. A put-to-light LED system, high-visibility marquees, a touch-screen UI and a built-in barcode scanner guide picking, and the shelving is configurable in thousands of layouts. The robot measures 0.72 x 1.4 x 1.94 m, carries 100 kg (220 lb) and runs for 18 hours. Launched on 16 October 2024 as the successor to the original Carter cart (in pilots since 2023), it is sold without capital expenditure and managed through Robust.AI's Grace fleet software. Deployments include DHL Supply Chain, which signed a five-year alliance in December 2025 to roll Carter out across the Americas after reporting picking-productivity gains of more than 60%, plus Saddle Creek, ShipLab, O'Neill Logistics and Aptiv. Carter won The Robot Report's RBR50 award in 2025.
