描述
Reviver是Cosmoserve Space的Other。 面向探索、物料搬運、研究設計。
Reviver is the debris-removal spacecraft that Cosmoserve Space is developing, together with a companion Mothercraft, to capture and de-orbit dead satellites and other orbital debris. The company describes it as a robotic servicer spacecraft that captures unprepared, non-cooperative objects, meaning targets that carry no docking adaptor and do not communicate. The capture mechanism is a soft robotic system inspired by the Venus flytrap: compliant, high-degree-of-freedom petals or arms close around an object and hold it, so that targets of irregular shape or tumbling motion can be gripped. Onboard sensors, sensor fusion and machine-learning models trained on simulated and test-facility images let the spacecraft approach, identify and capture a target autonomously. The satellite bus and propulsion come from partners, while the capture system and autonomy software are built in-house and are subject to patent filings. The capture system passed preliminary design review in January 2026 and critical design review in March 2026. A demonstrator, Mission Embrace, flew on Skyroot Aerospace's Vikram-1 on 18 July 2026. The company reports that the hardware survived launch and the actuation and software worked, but the petals did not open in orbit; it plans design changes for the next version.
