The CompactMover FOL U 1200 is Oceaneering Mobile Robotics' fork-over-leg autonomous forklift, designed to replace conventional electric pallet stackers in warehouses, manufacturing, distribution centres and assembly lines, including confined, high-traffic spaces. It is fully electric, with no hydraulics, for easier maintenance. It carries up to 1,200 kg (500 mm load centre) on fixed 1,200 mm forks from an electric spindle mast. Oceaneering's product page gives a handling height of up to 1,100 mm and drive speed up to 1.9 m/s; its February 2025 brochure lists a standard lift of 1,200 mm (optional mast to 2,600 mm) and up to 1.7 m/s. Support legs below the forks and a sophisticated safety system prevent tipping, accidental pushing and dragging of loads, and automatic pallet tracking finds and aligns to misplaced loads. The 2,218 x 920 x 2,001 mm robot navigates by natural features, runs on a 24 V lithium-ion battery with automatic side charging, and works in mixed fleets. It handles Euro pallets, racks, carts and boxes, with options such as elevated obstacle detection, available-location detection and a food-grade contamination plate; safety includes a safety PLC, three safety lasers for 360-degree coverage, fork-tip and tilt sensors and ANSI B56.5 / ISO 3691-4 compliance.
