Neuromeka ZEN

ZEN is Neuromeka's wheeled humanoid platform, and its distinguishing trick is that it folds: the robot works between 1.46 m and 1.86 m, so it can drop to reach a low shelf or rise to a workbench. Neuromeka builds it for industrial, service, medical and research use rather than for demonstration. The body carries 21 degrees of freedom — 19 joints plus two drive wheels — and each hand adds 13 active degrees across four fingers. An arm including the hand reaches 96.5 cm and carries 5 kg, repeating to 0.5 mm. The sensing is where the money went. The two hands together carry 2,280 intelligent tactile processing units reading 6,840 channels, so the robot feels what it touches across the whole hand rather than at a fingertip. Five RGB cameras cover the scene: three in the head and one at each hand. The chassis travels at 0.6 m/s, repeats a point to 1.5 cm, climbs a 2 cm obstacle and a 7-degree slope. A 40 Ah battery gives about 8 hours of work against 6 hours of charging. Neuromeka pairs the hardware with a vision-language-action framework, teleoperation tools and a data pipeline for imitation learning, so the platform is meant to be taught on site rather than programmed.
