Neomano is Neofect's wearable robotic glove for people whose hand paralysis makes daily life difficult - those who can move their wrist and arm but lack the hand strength to grip. A motor unit on the glove drives synthetic-thread wires to close the fingers against an aluminium thumb splint, giving up to 20 N of grip assistance - enough to hold about 2 kg - and opens them again. The user triggers GRIP and RELEASE from a Bluetooth remote that hangs on a lanyard, so first-time users can operate it without training, and customisable grip fixings let it hold objects such as a cup, a fork, a pen or a door handle.\nThe glove is made of leather with Velcro, non-slip cloth and a neoprene strap, and leaves the ring and little fingers and the palm uncovered so the wearer keeps some sense of touch and the glove feels less confining; gloves come in sizes XS to XL and can be replaced if they get dirty or damaged. A 51 x 95 x 30 mm power unit (65 g without batteries) runs on three AA cells at 3.6 V, and the 39 g remote runs on two AAA cells for up to 150 days. Neofect positions it as an aid to independent daily living; it received US FDA registration and a patent in 2019 and a Red Dot design award.
