Lenovo Daystar Bot GS is a six-legged robot for industrial inspection, designed by Lenovo in Shanghai and launched in 2024 for trade, industry and the public sector in Asia. Lenovo says its six-legged design gives stability and manoeuvrability beyond traditional robotic platforms, letting it cross diverse terrain, and that an advanced control system, perception algorithms and IP66 protection let it handle unforeseen situations and collect data at any location and time. Sensors at the front and on top support navigation, and extra equipment, such as a robotic arm, can be mounted on its back. The design won a 2024 iF Design Award. At Tech World @ CES 2026 Lenovo presented its Daystar six-legged AI robot as deployed for a major energy provider, reporting 90% detection accuracy for structural and safety issues while keeping technicians out of hazardous environments.
