Lely Juno

The Lely Juno is a feed-pushing robot that takes over one of the most repetitive jobs in a dairy barn. Cows nose feed away from the fence as they eat, and it has to be pushed back within reach several times a day; the Juno does it on a schedule, day and night, without a tractor or a person. It follows the feed fence using its own navigation and pushes feed towards it with a rotating skirt. Dynamic feed pushing lets it adapt to how much feed is actually present along the fence, which spreads the ration more evenly, protects feed quality and reduces both energy use and wear on the machine. Pushing feed more often stimulates intake, which supports rumen health and yield, while keeping the feed alley clean. Options include a smart skirt lifter, electric bumper protection, LED lighting for night visibility and a barn door control box; the Flex package bundles all but the last.
