Laska UVD is Aitheon's compact, fully autonomous ultraviolet disinfection robot for commercial use. It drives through offices, hotels, shops and similar indoor spaces as part of a regular cleaning cycle, irradiating surfaces and air with UV-C light to reduce bacteria and viruses; Aitheon quotes 99.99% effectiveness. Its lamp column carries 12 UV bulbs (254 nm, 895 mm long) covering a 4 m diameter, and one run of about 1 h 30 min treats around 1,000 m2, expandable to 4 h 30 min and 3,100 m2 with extra battery pods; recharging takes 1 h 30 min at 120 V or 45 min at 220 V. Lidar, cameras, ultrasonic sensors, a microphone and speakers support navigation and safety: it detects objects at 16 m, predicts the paths of people, animals and vehicles, avoids collisions and has emergency and manual stop buttons. The robot measures about 563 x 545 x 1,736 mm, weighs over 90 kg with its power pod and UV accessory, runs on three mini battery pods and a 2-wheel drivetrain (4-wheel optional), operates from 0 to 55 C and is controlled automatically or piloted manually over WiFi through the Aitheon platform, with alerts by app, WhatsApp, Slack, text or phone. It comes with a 3-year warranty, and colour and finish can be customised.
