HHS Romeo

Romeo is HHS Robotics' biped humanoid, and its design argument is range of motion rather than raw power. HHS puts its joint travel 20 to 30 degrees beyond comparable products on the market, which is what lets it turn and adopt postures a more constrained humanoid cannot — the company frames this as scene adaptability rather than a spec-sheet number. It carries 29 to 31 degrees of freedom, walks at 1.5 m/s with dynamic balance, handles 2.5 kg across both arms and runs three hours continuously. Weight is held under 35 kg through an integrated skeleton-and-shell design, and the end effector is modular: two-finger, three-finger and five-finger dexterous hands all mount through the same contact interface carrying both power and data, so swapping actuators to suit a task takes moments rather than rewiring. Underneath it runs HHS's own integrated joint modules, which pair a frameless torque motor, high-strength reducer, built-in high-power drive board, electromagnetic brake and encoder in one housing.
