ECART 5 is a model in Oppent's ECART family of autonomous mobile robots, built in Italy. Only 230 mm tall and 560 mm wide, it is the lowest ECART, built to pass under low hospital trolleys and carry up to 400 kg.\nPer its datasheet it measures 1,600 x 560 x 230 mm, weighs 235 kg without batteries and carries 400 kg nominal (500 kg maximum) on lift platform 1,160 x 500 mm, 60 mm stroke. It uses diamond-layout, bidirectional drive (2 x 600 W), travels at up to 1.0 m/s and climbs 3% slopes. It navigates naturally by laser scanner, positions to +/-10 mm and +/-1 deg and turns on its own axis, and runs about 5 hours on a LiFePO4 24 V 50 Ah battery with 2 h recharge. Safety comes from 2 Sick S300 laser scanners, front/rear sensitive edges, 2 e-stops, Sick Flexi safety controller; 360 deg field for boxes, 180+180 deg for trolleys, and the vehicle conforms to ISO 3691-4:2020 for driverless industrial trucks.
