The Basement Concrete Trowelling Robot is the troweling half of Smooth G1, the concrete floor leveling and troweling system developed by Bozhilin Robot, the construction-robotics company of Country Garden that markets its machines as Bright Dream Robotics. Smooth G1 won an iF Design Award in 2021, the year it launched. In the Smooth G1 system a floor leveling robot first levels the poured concrete using automatic navigation, automatic walking and laser leveling for high-precision flatness. Once the concrete reaches its initial set, the troweling robot takes over: it plans its own path, positions itself and drives over the slab to trowel the surface automatically. The twin-rotor troweling robot is aimed at large basement and floor slabs, where it replaces walk-behind power trowels. From leveling to troweling the whole process needs only one person for auxiliary work.
