AITO XS is Aitonomi's self-driving delivery robot for smart cities, carrying a payload of 30 kg on last-mile deliveries in cities and on the sites of resorts, hotels, campuses and theme parks. It drives fully autonomously with the Aitonomi AutoPilot software and can communicate with elevators, developed together with TK Elevator, so it can enter buildings and ride to the desired floor. In an ESA-supported demonstration project, TeleRetail described its Aito delivery robots as using lidars, cameras, radars, GNSS and other sensors to localise and navigate, with all data processed on board for quick reaction to unexpected obstacles, and a logistics platform that manages requested deliveries without human supervision. Aitonomi (then TeleRetail) presented its first autonomous delivery robot at the IAA in Frankfurt in 2017.
