Formic Automation Community Event: Inside Boxed Water Is Better

On June 4, Formic hosted its latest Automation Community event at Boxed Water Is Better's facility in Holland, Michigan. Food, beverage, and CPG manufacturers from across West Michigan and the Midwest joined us on the production floor to see robotic palletizing in action, and to hear directly from operators who've been running Formic systems for months or years. Boxed Water runs three Formic systems across two facilities. Before automating, they were running three shifts, seven days a week, with workers manually lifting 28-pound cases for hours at a time. Turnover was constant. Today, they're at 98% uptime and Rick Kulas, the Director of Operations, said ROI was immediate.
