The 48V Hermes exists because embodied-AI robots eat power. Joint modules and robotic arms draw far more than the service-delivery chassis Slamtec built its business on, so this is the same Hermes idea rebuilt around a 44.8 V 29.4 Ah lithium iron phosphate pack that will deliver 48 V at up to 30 A continuously to whatever is mounted on top, and up to 1,400 W peak to an external load. Slamtec says several leading embodied-intelligence firms already buy it in volume. Endurance is the standout number: more than 20 hours unloaded and still 16 hours carrying its full 80 kg, on a three to three-and-a-half hour charge, with a 2,000-cycle battery life. The chassis itself is 465 x 545 mm and 357 mm tall excluding the controller, weighs 60 kg, and is rated for 50 kg with an 80 kg maximum on flat concrete. Navigation is Slamtec's own SLAMWARE with an RPLIDAR S2 DToF scanner reaching 30 m, two depth cameras, two dedicated low-obstacle sensors that see anything over 3 cm, magnetic sensors and physical bumpers. It maps up to 300 x 300 m at a time and covers 100,000 m2, docks to within 1.5 cm, and integrates Slamtec's smart elevator control so it can call and ride a lift unaided. An onboard Android system means most integrators need add no computer of their own.
