描述

Sharpa North is a 67-degree-of-freedom humanoid built around its hands. Where most humanoid programmes lead with walking, Sharpa leads with contact: North's job is long-horizon bimanual work that needs strength and precision at the same time. The company's evidence for that is public. At CES 2026 North ran fully autonomous manipulation for four consecutive days, eight hours a day, with no scripts and no human intervention. Over those days it completed a paper windmill assembly of more than thirty steps — one of the longest continuous manipulation sequences demonstrated in public — handling thin, flexible parts and adapting mid-task; held continuous ping-pong rallies against visitors using a hand response under 0.02 s with real-time visual tracking and whole-body control; picked up a camera and took photographs with roughly 2 mm finger positioning precision; and dealt single cards off a full deck, identifying the target card from vision and language input. Its hands are the company's own Sharpa Wave: five fingers, 22 active degrees of freedom each, human proportions, and a dynamic tactile array that reads pressure, slip, force change and contact location at the fingertip and closes the loop when an object shifts or deforms. Reasoning comes from CraftNet, Sharpa's hierarchical vision-touch-language-action model, which separates planning, movement and the final contact-closing millimetres. Sharpa aims North at hotel, retail and food-service work, at assembly tasks like screwing, clipping and fastening that rigid industrial arms cannot flex around, and at research groups collecting manipulation data or deploying new policies.

功能特点

  • 67 degrees of freedom across the whole body
  • Bimanual manipulation with the company's own Sharpa Wave hands (22 active DOF each)
  • Hand response time under 0.02 s
  • Finger positioning precision about 2 mm
  • Fingertip tactile sensing: pressure, slip, force change and contact location
  • Closed-loop tactile adaptation when objects shift, deform or become occluded
  • Runs CraftNet, a hierarchical vision-touch-language-action (VTLA) model
  • Demonstrated four consecutive days of fully autonomous operation at CES 2026
  • 30-plus-step paper windmill assembly performed autonomously in public
  • Continuous ping-pong rallies with real-time visual tracking and full-body control
  • Card dealing from a full deck using vision-language input
  • Targeted at hotels, retail and food service
  • assembly screwing, clipping and fastening
  • research data collection
  • ROS 2 integration, MuJoCo and Isaac Sim simulation, SharpaPilot SDK (shared with the Wave hand)
