The household UGO takes the hospital exoskeleton and re-engineers the part that normally requires a therapist: getting the patient safely into it. Mechanical fixation and strap protection provide the security a clinician would otherwise supervise, the scale of the equipment adjusts manually to the wearer's body rather than through a technician's calibration, and RoboCT's claim is that a non-professional can learn to help someone use it. That single change is what moves rehabilitation out of the rehabilitation department and into the living room, which is the whole premise of the company's Rehabilitation-as-a-Service model — the same cloud platform that logs a hospital session logs a home one, so a remote therapist can still see the data and adjust the programme. The training itself is unchanged: repetitive, accurate, high-frequency walking to rebuild normal gait, with passive, active and combined modes.
