Moorebot Scout is a palm-sized AI camera robot for home monitoring. It drives on four mecanum wheels in any direction, streams video with two-way audio to a phone, follows a pre-programmed patrol path around the clock and returns to its charger by itself. It recognises objects, tracks and follows people and pets, sends cloud alerts when its sensors trigger a patrol, and works with Alexa, Google Home and Siri, including streaming to an Echo Show. It can be programmed in Scratch or through open-source ROS with monocular SLAM, uses a peer-to-peer connection for privacy, and can be fitted with 3D-printed tools or converted to tracks.
