설명
Genesis RMN is Stereotaxis' robotic magnetic navigation system for electrophysiology: rather than pushing and twisting a catheter by hand, the physician steers a magnetically tipped catheter inside the heart by having the robot reposition two external magnets on either side of the patient. Stereotaxis presents it as the future of robotics in electrophysiology. It is a complete redesign of its predecessor, Niobe. The magnets are smaller and rotate about their own centre of mass, which is what gives the system its responsiveness to physician control: across a broad range of navigational routines Genesis is 70 to 80 percent faster than Niobe. The magnets are carried on flexible, rugged robotic arms that greatly extend the system's range of motion, allowing wider X-ray angulation and serving as a platform for future development. The whole system is significantly smaller, which improves the patient's experience on the table, gives physicians and nurses more access to the patient, and frees space in the lab. Genesis is tightly integrated with the Stereotaxis Imaging Model S X-ray system, which is built for electrophysiology with flat-panel detection, beam collimation, adjustable frame rates and variable source-to-image distance to reduce radiation. Offering the robot and imaging together lets Stereotaxis act as a single source for architectural planning, installation and ongoing service.
