Shihe Cable-Suspended Facade Cleaning Robot

This is Shihe's building-facade cleaner, and unlike the company's magnetic hull crawlers it cannot hold itself onto the wall - glass, stone and aluminium cladding give a magnet nothing to grip. Instead it hangs from a dual-cable winch system that moves it across the face of the building, while a rotor thrust mechanism pushes it against the surface to generate the contact pressure cleaning needs and to keep it stable in wind. Cleaning is a two-stage process. High-pressure spray and a cleaning-agent mist first strike the facade to soften dirt, then a high-speed flexible roller brush scrubs the surface, with the impact water carrying loosened dust and detergent away from the brushed area. Shihe rates it at more than 2,000 square metres a day, working at heights up to 200 m and negotiating obstacles of at least 5 cm, with multi-sensor fusion behind a dual physical anti-fall system. The machine is 1,800 x 1,000 x 800 mm and 95 kg, carries a 50 kg load, sweeps a 1,500 mm working width at 15 m/min, and is rated IP65 for 0 to 55 degrees Celsius. Target surfaces are glass curtain walls, stone, alloy panels and the colour-coated steel walls of factory buildings.
