RIVR ONE is RIVR's wheeled-legged autonomous delivery robot, designed to navigate the last mile and the critical last 100 yards right to the doorstep. It works in two modes: last-mile delivery, driving itself from a shop, convenience store or supermarket to the customer's door, and van-dispensed delivery, working alongside a driver from a delivery van to make parallel deliveries. Wheels give energy-efficient long-range travel on smooth surfaces while legs let it climb stairs, step over curbs and cross uneven ground; RIVR cites five times the battery life and speed and ten times the coverage of traditional legged robots. It moves at more than twice walking speed - up to 14 km/h (8.7 mph) - through sidewalks, bike lanes and road crossings, opens gates and navigates tight spaces, and understands human spaces, avoiding grass, flowers, bins and toys and moving safely around pets and vehicles. Cameras, LiDAR and advanced perception detect obstacles, a robotic arm opens gates and places deliveries at the door, and a secure delivery box carries more than 30 kg of parcels, groceries and food. It stops instantly in emergencies - automatically, via a physical button or by remote command - stays visible with lights and a flag, and is backed by a 24/7 remote support team that can step in when needed. Its Physical AI is trained with reinforcement learning in simulation and supervised learning from real-world delivery data.
