설명

GaRo hauls servers around a data centre. NAVER's GAK Sejong site covers the area of 41 football pitches, and a round trip from the operations wing to the server wing is 850 m — far enough that moving 80 kg servers by hand stops being reasonable. GaRo carries up to 400 kg at up to 2 m/s and does the run on its own. It does not carry the load directly so much as collect the right cart for it, picking the appropriate trolley for whatever is being moved without being told. In the IT warehouse it hands off to SeRo, the asset-management robot, so equipment can go in and out with no person in the loop at all. Because it shares floor space with staff, NAVER LABS gave it a gaze indicator that shows where it is about to go — the same human-robot interaction thinking as the Rookie delivery robots, applied to a machine that weighs enough to matter.
