Leidos Sea Dagger

Sea Dagger is a next-generation Commando Insertion Craft (CIC) concept that Leidos developed for the Royal Navy. Leidos calls it the first craft of its size to combine speed, range, vehicle delivery and modular mission systems in a single platform. Vehicle delivery is the distinguishing feature: the craft is meant to put not just a team but their vehicles ashore, which is what separates it from a fast insertion boat. The modular mission systems allow the same hull to be reconfigured per task. *** Leidos characterises this vessel two different ways. Its US maritime page files Sea Dagger as a compact medium unmanned surface vessel (MUSV) for time-sensitive surface operations, integrated into distributed maritime architectures; its Australia-Pacific page describes the Commando Insertion Craft concept for the Royal Navy.
