i-Limb Quantum is Össur's premium multi-articulating myoelectric hand. Five independently motorized fingers and a powered rotating thumb with manual override give up to 36 preprogrammed and custom grips, and it is the only myoelectric hand that changes grip by gesture: moving the hand in one of four directions selects an automated grip. Grips can also be called up by muscle-signal triggers, the app or proximity Grip Chips. Titanium digits (sizes S, M and L) raise the carry load by 50%, and the Vari-Grip and Speed Boost features add up to 30% more grip force and speed. Auto-Grasp tightens the grip if an object starts to slip. The hand holds a static load of up to 90 kg (40 kg extra small), each finger up to 48 kg, and closes fully in 0.8 seconds. It comes in four sizes and weighs 518 g in medium/large with a wrist disconnect. A 7.4 V lithium-polymer battery of 2,000 or 1,300 mAh powers it, and clinicians and users configure it with the Biosim and My i-Limb apps. It suits transradial, transhumeral and wrist-disarticulation users, with up to five years of Touch Care warranty support.
