Fotokite Pro is Fotokite's tethered flying camera system for professional filming and live broadcasting, made by Perspective Robotics AG. It flies like a kite with no piloting skills needed, launches in seconds with minimal training outdoors or even indoors, and its load-bearing tether keeps a permanent physical connection that makes it safe near crowds and clearly identifies the operator; the system does not rely on GPS or a radio link. Fotokite described it as the lightest system in its class at 620 g take-off weight including camera. It streams uncompressed, low-latency 1080p 60 fps video over the tether, flies 30 to 40 minutes on a single ground battery or indefinitely with plug-in power, and packs into compact, rugged cases for single-person transport. In 2016 CNN became the first organisation granted an FAA waiver to fly an unmanned aircraft over people in the US, for the Fotokite Pro. Prices started at US$8,000 with a 4 to 8 week lead time.
