FARO is Schauer Agrotronic's feed-pushing robot for dairy and beef barns. It drives along the feed alley and pushes silage back to the feed fence so it stays within reach of the cows, raising feed intake, animal health and milk yield while saving the farmer's time and energy. An actively driven drum lets it push feed to the left and to the right, so it works on both the outward and return runs without empty trips, and a self-cleaning mechanism opens the clearing strip to release feed residues. Two ultrasonic sensors, a safety switch strip and dynamic overcurrent detection keep it safe around animals and people. An optional dispenser can add up to two kinds of concentrate as an attractant, and the FaroSmart app is used to steer, teach and monitor the robot and its routes, with operating status and log data recorded. The Faro Dynamic 2.0 software sets pushing intervals and feeding times per animal group, and the robot installs quickly without changes to the feed alley.
