The Black Swan is Dronamics' long-range fixed-wing cargo drone for same-day middle-mile freight. It carries up to 350 kg (about the load of a small delivery van) over up to 2,500 km at a cruise speed of about 200 km/h, enough to cross Europe in a single flight, and is flown remotely or automatically from a fully mobile ground control station with worldwide satellite communications. It has a 16 m wingspan, an 8 m fuselage, a single Rotax piston engine and a service ceiling above 30,000 ft. Dronamics operates the aircraft itself as Europe's first licensed cargo-drone airline, and has shown special-mission versions such as an ISR configuration and, with Hensoldt, an airborne early-warning variant. The first Black Swan flew at Balchik airport in Bulgaria in May 2023.
