Dreame ECHO S1

The ECHO S1 is Dreame's single-arm wheeled robot, built around one household chore: laundry. Shown at IFA 2026 as a research platform rather than a product on sale, it is meant to run the whole routine — gathering clothes left around the house, recognising colours and fabrics, sorting them, loading the washer and dryer, and moving the dried laundry into a basket. It is a tall, slim machine: a lifting column that extends from 1,570 mm to 2,275 mm through 800 mm of travel, on a circular differential chassis 560 mm across and 290 mm high driven by silent hub motors at up to 1.2 m/s. At 70 kg it is well under half the weight of the two-armed ECHO P1. The single arm reaches 1,150 mm from shoulder to wrist, lifts 5 kg and has five degrees of freedom, with one more in the neck and one in the lift. It shares the P1's electronics: a stereo camera in the head, one at the wrist and one on the chassis alongside a lidar, an NVIDIA AGX Orin 64 GB module at 275 TOPS, and a 32.85 V 22.5 Ah battery giving 8 hours of work with a 3 hour fast charge and automatic docking. Besides the home, Dreame points it at hotels, schools and laundromats.
