Asset Guard is an autonomous ground robot from Aegeus Technologies that patrols solar power plants and inspects the panel arrays. It replaces manual walk-down inspections with repeatable patrol routes, so that every string is checked on schedule. The robot runs on rubber tracks and navigates the site with LiDAR and RTK GPS. It carries a 4K RGB camera and a thermal camera, and onboard AI models classify faults in real time, including soiling, hotspots and other thermal anomalies, vegetation encroachment, bird droppings and physical damage to modules. The inspection results build a digital record of asset health that the plant operator can query and feed into maintenance planning, so that degradation is found before it causes downtime. Aegeus markets it alongside its Unicorn and Shreem cleaning robots as part of a robotic workforce for solar operations and maintenance.
