ANTHBOT Pion

The ANTHBOT Pion is the company's boundary-wire mower, and the odd one out in a range that is otherwise wire-free. The perimeter wire is laid once, up to 180 metres, enclosing roughly 0.15 acres. Within that boundary it is far from a simple random-walk machine: it builds a high-precision map in real time and plans a full-coverage mowing path, which ANTHBOT claims makes it more than three times as efficient as comparable products. If mowing is interrupted it repositions itself and carries on from where it stopped, and it can be sent to mow one specific spot. Cutting height adjusts automatically, it handles slopes up to 45 percent (24 degrees), and it detects and reports a break in the boundary wire rather than silently wandering.
