- Most contracts end. Write the exit into the lease.
- The robot needs a person. Escorts, unwired emergency buttons and supervision all show up on record.
- Budgets overrun. Actual monthly costs have run well above budget; spare units have gone unused.
- Indoor secured areas defeat it. Badge doors, lifts and crowds have all caused failures.
- You may not be allowed to run it. At least one city ordered a patrol robot off the pavement.
- Causation is hedged even by the people who liked it. Falling incident numbers have not been attributed to the robot.
