Whole-Body Locomanipulation with KAIST Humanoid v0.9

KAIST’s Dynamic Robot Control & Design Lab, working with RAILAB on the arms, shows its full-size Humanoid v0.9 doing whole-body loco-manipulation in the lab. Using only onboard vision, the real robot walks while pushing objects up to 35 kg and lifting objects up to 20 kg, then arranges blocks to spell “KAIST.” The skills come from deep reinforcement learning and learning from human demonstrations, not a scripted animation. It is a research platform, not a commercial product, and shows how a Korean-built humanoid coordinates balance, walking, and heavy contact at the same time.
