The P2 is the second generation of Digit Robotics' IP-series interactive humanoid, branded Star in the company's English material, and its defining feature is a patented DUAL-MODE chassis: the same machine works as a biped or on wheels, and one person can switch it between the two without help. That is what makes the endurance figure interesting — at least ten hours with automatic recharging, which is shift-length rather than demo-length, and it is the wheeled mode that buys it. At 131 cm and roughly 39 kg it is deliberately smaller and lighter than the company's full-size Xiaqi X02, sized to work a counter rather than tower over one. It carries 34 degrees of freedom, moves at up to 1.8 m/s and lifts 0.5 kg per arm. The rest of the specification is about being understood: over 20 languages including Cantonese, English and French, face recognition that triggers a proactive greeting, and more than 40 facial expressions. Digit claims long-term memory, so the machine accumulates familiarity with repeat visitors rather than resetting each session. It supports multi-robot collaboration, takes optional hardware modules, and runs against the company's RoboEase scenario brain. The showier motion — side flips and a repertoire of ethnic dances — is aimed at the cultural-tourism and event end of its market.
