Walker S2 is UBTECH's industrial humanoid robot and, the company says, the world's first humanoid able to swap its own battery. A dual-battery system with coordinated two-arm handling lets it change packs at a swap station in about three minutes, and it switches between dual- and single-battery modes on the fly, choosing whether to swap or charge according to task priority, so it can keep working without a human intervening. A high-torque waist joint rotates 162 degrees either way and lets it lift 15 kg, reaching from floor level upward; whole-body balancing lets it squat and stoop, pitching up to 125 degrees while handling that load anywhere between the ground and 1.8 m. Its head carries a pure-RGB binocular stereo vision system that uses deep-learning depth estimation to build dense real-time depth maps, giving it human-like visual perception for logistics and manufacturing support work.
