Type Z is a fully autonomous, waterless solar panel cleaning robot from Jetsons Robotics of Delhi, designed for rooftop and commercial and industrial solar installations. It travels along rows of panels and cleans the module surface with a rotating brush, removing the dust that cuts generation, without water and without a cleaning crew. The robot runs on a smart schedule set by the plant owner and returns to charge itself automatically between runs; the maker lists auto charging alongside its water-free operation and calls the design patented. Jetsons Robotics positions Type Z within a wider solar maintenance range that includes the NTX AI camera for panel health monitoring and the Node X IoT system for real-time performance analytics. The company reports more than 1,000 hours of robot operation and over 5 MW of solar plant cleaned, and names Tata, Fourth Partner, Freyr and Playsolar among its customers. It publishes no dimensions, weight, speed or battery figures for Type Z.
