Heavyfish is the largest vessel in Seasats' line-up, built on the same foundation as Lightfish and Quickfish with more power, speed and payload. It combines electric and diesel drive in a single propulsion unit, cruises at up to 12 knots and stays at sea for up to six months, and can tow heavy payloads such as acoustic arrays of up to 1,000 lb (453.5 kg). At 9,000 lb (4,082 kg) it is launched from a vehicle or by crane. Seasats aims it at maritime domain awareness, anti-submarine warfare, sonar surveys, harbour security and high-value unit escort, with an expected splash date of 2026.
