Niqo RoboSpray is an AI spot sprayer from Niqo Robotics for row crops in India, and was the company's first commercial product. It sprays pesticides, fungicides, herbicides and liquid fertiliser only on the target plants instead of blanket-spraying the field. The machine is a high-clearance sprayer carrying a Niqo-branded boom fitted with Niqo Sense AI cameras. The cameras run on the edge, without cloud connectivity, to tell the crop apart from weeds and bare soil and signal individual nozzles to fire. Press reports say the system was trained on 13 crop models, including cotton, chilli, soybean, maize, tomato and aubergine, and the company claims 99.4% accuracy for its cotton model and up to 60% savings in chemicals and water. RoboSpray launched in India in 2023 and was deployed in eastern Maharashtra (Akola) and in Guntur and Khammam. In the 2023-24 financial year Niqo deployed 50 sprayers, 40 of them leased to village-level entrepreneurs for Rs 4 lakh a year, who sold spraying to smallholders at Rs 300-500 per acre. A March 2025 company release reported 148,000 commercially sprayed acres and more than 3,000 farmers.
