Neuromeka Moby-Agri

Moby-Agri is Neuromeka's greenhouse robot, built to solve a data problem: growers monitor crops with fixed IoT sensors that only see their own patch, while a greenhouse can run past 100,000 square feet. Moby-Agri drives the whole house and gathers the same readings everywhere, which is what makes yield data useful for crops like tomatoes and peppers. It moves two ways. On the floor it is a differential-drive robot on 235 mm rubber wheels at up to 1 m/s; on the heating pipes that double as rails in most greenhouses it runs on 135 mm rail wheels at up to 0.4 m/s. It detects the rails, climbs on, follows them and dismounts safely — the part that usually defeats a wheeled robot in a greenhouse. Crops grow upward, so the camera does too: a two-degree-of-freedom imaging unit rotates and lifts on a column with a 2,000 to 4,100 mm stroke, accurate to plus or minus 5 mm at up to 200 mm/s, reaching plants up to 3 m tall. The robot comes in 600 and 650 mm track types, 1,400 x 805 x 491 mm at 254 kg or 1,400 x 855 x 491 mm at 255 kg, navigating by SLAM on 2D lidar with depth cameras for obstacles. A 48 V 9,250 Wh lithium-ion pack gives up to 10 hours of driving.
