LUF 60 is a remote-controlled firefighting robot that lets crews reach the source of a fire under very difficult conditions. A 140 hp diesel engine drives its crawler chassis, which can push aside movable obstacles and climb stairs and ramps of about 30 degrees. A 35 kW ventilator moves 90,000 cubic metres of air per hour, turning up to 2,400 litres of water per minute into an atomised jet of tiny droplets that reaches more than 60 m. It can switch to foam at any time, with a range of about 35 m. Remote control works up to about 300 m, and accessories include rail drive and rail kit systems.
