iHub Robotics OctaBot

OctaBot is iHub Robotics' retail inventory robot — a slim vertical column on a sensored mobile base that drives the aisles reading RFID tags, so nobody has to count stock by hand. Its scanning arrays run the full height of the column and read shelves from floor to ceiling, picking up tags at ranges to 12 metres with a claimed 99.9 per cent accuracy. Turquoise light waves show staff which zone it is scanning. The narrow profile is the point: it fits down aisles a wider machine could not, navigating and avoiding obstacles on its own. It runs eight hours continuously, processes on board with edge AI and syncs to the cloud, and connects over Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 or 5G. iHub positions it as compatible with existing stock-control platforms, and cites fashion retail, grocery with expiry tracking, and electronics with serial-number verification as its main settings.
