D-Robo is TechMagic's drink-serving robot, an automated beverage station built around a robot arm. Drink dispensers are arranged around the arm, which picks a glass, fills it and hands it over in response to orders placed on a touch panel, with movements customised for each menu item so one unit can serve a variety of drinks. To serve quickly without spilling, the arm tilts the glass in step with its acceleration as it moves - a patent-pending technique - and a built-in rapid glass cooler chills each stored glass just before it is filled. The system is pitched at speeding up drink service while keeping customer interaction contactless.
