The Blueprint Robotics Swerve Drive Robot is the ready-to-drive base of Sphero's Blueprint Robotics (BPR) classroom competition system for students aged 14 and up. Sold with a rechargeable battery and a handheld controller, the drivable and programmable swerve-drive chassis provides the movement and control system on which students build 'Rapid Robots' with Blueprint mechanical parts and an electronics set of two high-speed motors, a high-torque motor, a distance sensor, a beam-break sensor and two magnetic proximity switches. Teams of two or three build, test and program mechanisms to handle balls and cubes, then compete on a 6 x 8 ft classroom field within a class period, following lessons and a Robopedia on Sphero Central. The robot and controller sell alone for demos and driver practice, or in kits, six-robot class packs and competition packs with multi-chargers, the field and storage carts; the line was on pre-order in 2026.
