BESCHREIBUNG

The Xcan Wheelchair bot is XCANBOT's smart wheelchair robot, which the company launched as the world's first wheelchair robot combining spatial intelligence with embodied interaction. XCANBOT argues that electric wheelchairs solved movement but not safety, independence or companionship, and positions this as an AI mobility partner that senses its surroundings, understands its user and offers active care rather than passive control. XCANBOT lists six capabilities. It plans routes autonomously across home, community and city settings, covering what it calls a 5 km living radius. Its 5D multimodal perception predicts risks in moving crowds, complex terrain and at night for centimetre-level anticipatory obstacle avoidance. A follow mode tracks a chosen person, freeing a companion's hands or assisting during rehabilitation. Surface-shape sensing pre-adjusts the seat on slopes, turns and drops to keep the user level, and the seat raises and lowers to help reach objects high or low. An embodied robotic arm extends it from a mobility aid to a daily-living assistant, and continuous health monitoring with emotional interaction provides reminders, companionship and automatic response to abnormal events. The design separates low-level motion control - the 'small brain' that keeps movement safe and precise - from high-level perception, decision-making and planning, the 'large brain', which XCANBOT says gives both reliability and intelligence. The robot was announced in a launch post and shown at the China Hi-Tech Fair in Shenzhen in November 2025; XCANBOT has not published prices or detailed specifications.
