BESCHREIBUNG

Tally ist ein Mobile-Robots von Simbe. Er ist für Inspektion, Inventur, Überwachung ausgelegt. Eckdaten: 720 min Laufzeit, erschienen 2017.

Tally is Simbe's autonomous shelf-scanning robot for retail stores. It travels the aisles several times a day, and overnight, photographing every shelf and using Simbe Vision computer vision to find out-of-stock and low-stock items, wrong or missing price tags and misplaced products. Store associates get prioritised task lists on the Simbe Mobile App, and managers get dashboards and high-resolution shelf images. Simbe built the first prototype in 2015, ran Tally 1.0 internally in 2016, and made Schnuck Markets its first customer in 2017 with Tally 2.0; Tally 2.6 (2019) added height and cameras for top shelves, Tally 3.0 (2020) improved vision, durability and on-board processing, and Tally 4.0 is the current model. Schnucks went chain-wide in 2021, followed by BJ's Wholesale Club and Wakefern's ShopRite stores. The current Tally carries over a dozen high-resolution cameras with autofocus plus 3D depth and 360-degree fisheye cameras, reaching upper steel, bunkers and recessed shelves, and processes images on an NVIDIA edge computer. It localises itself to within 1-2 inches in a 150,000 sq ft store, turns in place in tight aisles, moves at under a third of walking speed, and runs up to 12 hours per charge. An optional RFID module counts tagged items, reading up to 40 ft. Retailers subscribe to it as a service rather than buying it.
