The Sunseeker V3 scales the wire-free, vision-only approach of the V series up to yards of 1,000 square metres. Two cameras give it binocular 3D vision, extracting depth from the scene so it reads the contours and terrain of the lawn rather than guessing - Sunseeker cites more accurate distance measurement, better perception data and less sensitivity to changing light than a single camera allows. Intelligent boundary recognition adapts to raised boundaries, level boundaries, narrow passages and patchy lawn, and obstacle avoidance covers more than 360 object types including people, pets, vehicles and overhanging swings and hammocks. Like the V1 it starts with one click through ReadyGo, with no wire to lay. It climbs 42 percent (22-degree) slopes on rear-wheel drive, and a floating cut disc follows the ground so rises and dips are cut evenly. Edge and ride-on-edge cutting eliminate uncut strips along borders, cutting height is adjustable from 20 to 60 mm, and it runs quietly with IPX5 protection and a rain sensor.
