BESCHREIBUNG

Bolt is Standard Bots' droid: the company's move from arms bolted to a bench to a configurable machine with, in its own words, humanoid brains and an industrial backbone. It is open for reservations and due in 2026. What makes it a droid rather than an arm is that almost everything is a choice. One arm or two; a fixed base, a mobile base, or a mobile base with a torso; an optional vertical lift that extends reach upwards for stacking, loading and multi-level machine tending; and any end-effector, including a five-fingered hand. It carries 14 kg over a 900 mm reach per arm and is built to pair with autonomous mobile robots. Vision is spread across the machine: a three-camera swivel head plus a camera in each wrist, fed to the AI at low latency for real-time perception. The joints are the company's AmpereDrive units - in-house motors, encoders and drives that it says deliver the highest torque density and best-in-class torque sensing, repeatable to 0.1 Nm, rated IP67 and food-safe. The intelligence is video-to-action models trained on production data from Standard Bots customers, fine-tuned by guiding the robot hands-on in augmented reality, and aimed at work traditional robots cannot absorb: machine tending, welding, material handling and inspection in manufacturing; palletizing, case packing and labelling in logistics; produce sorting and selective harvesting in agriculture; stocking and order filling in retail.
